The Shandon Spa is a full-service thalassotherapy facility.
The awarding winning spa offer a luxurious and holistic approach to wellness and relaxation. Feel refreshed, renewed, and revived in the space of tranquillity and indulgence. We kindly ask that you are respectful of others’ privacy, speak softly and deactivate any disruptive communication devices, such as mobile phones. Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes) is not permitted in or around the Spa building.
To ensure that all guests enjoy the peaceful sanctuary of The Spa, we respectfully request that all visitors keep noise to a minimum. The use of mobile phones and electronic devices in The Spa are allowed however please respect our other guests and ensure devices are kept on silent. We reserve the right to ask any guest or group of guests to leave the Spa if they are disturbing other users of The Spa facilities.

WHAT TO WEAR
RESIDENTS
Robes are provided in your room. Flip flops are provided at the spa. Should you have a treatment, disposable underwear is also available. You may collect a towel at Spa Reception for use during you time at The Spa. In the interest of comfort, personal safety, health, and hygiene and in consideration of all our other Spa guests, the flip flops provided must be always worn in all areas of The Spa at all times. Jewellery should not be worn during your Spa experience.
DAY SPA GUESTS
We will provide you with a robe and slippers to wear while visiting our Spa and you will be assigned a locker to store your personal belongings. In the interest of comfort, personal safety, health, and hygiene and in consideration of all our other Spa guests, the flip flops provided must be always worn in all areas of the spa. Jewellery should not be worn during your Spa experience. Swim wear must be always worn in spa and can be purchased from spa reception.
Our therapists will provide you with disposable undergarments if needed. Our therapists are professionally trained and will ensure a level of comfort by appropriately draping areas of the body that are not a focus of the treatment. We require that swimming attire be worn in the thermal suite area.
SPA VALUABLES
Although all lockers will have a key, we do recommend that you leave your valuables at home. The management cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items.
SPA SPECIAL HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS
Please inform us of any health-related conditions prior to your arrival at the Spa. If you are unsure about whether a medical condition could prevent you from having a treatment, or you are currently taking prescribed medication, have an allergy or are pregnant, please call in advance to discuss suitable treatment options. Treatments are conducted subject to completion of a satisfactory health consultation form. Pregnant guests’ treatments will be tailored to suit. We do not offer treatments for expectant mothers in their 1st trimester. The Thermal Suite is not suitable for use at any stage during pregnancy.
SPA ARRIVAL
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment to the Spa Reception to allow you sufficient time to change and complete your consultation form. Please note that the allotted treatment time includes a consultation and preparation time. If you arrive late for your appointment, your treatment will be adapted to the remaining time of your booking.
SPA LATE ARRIVAL TIME
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time; however, if a late arrival is unavoidable, please call to notify the Spa receptionist when possible. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, as we must complete your service by the designated end-time in order to appropriately accommodate the next guest.
PERSONAL PREFERENCES
Whether it is the room temperature or the level of massage pressure, please communicate your preferences with the therapist so that he or she can make your time with us a special experience.
SPA CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation Policy 48 hours prior to treatment in the case of no shows 100%, late cancellation 50% charge will be applied to the card details provided at the time of booking. All spa cancellations must be in writing and emailed directly to spa@shandonhotelspa.com not to the hotel during spa opening hours, 9.30am – 5.30pm.
Spa Group Bookings are welcomed, and the person making the booking for a group will be responsible for ensuring all those attending are made aware of and comply with the terms & conditions of the Shandon spa.
Credit/Debit card details are requested at time of booking to secure all spa packages including those to be paid by gift voucher. Without card details your booking will not be secure even if you received automatic email confirmation. If you are paying by gift voucher, please remember to bring it with you on the day and present it on arrival.
AGE MINIMUM
The Thermal Suite Spa Experience is only available to persons aged 18 years and upwards. ID may be required to verify age.

Thermal Suite Daily from 9.30am to 5.00pm (Subject to Change at Peak Times & Weekends)
Treatments Daily from 10.00am to 5.45pm

Credit/Debit card details will be required to secure all bookings including those to be paid by gift voucher. If you are paying by gift voucher, please remember to bring it with you on the day and present it on arrival. Gift vouchers are non-refundable & no change will be given from a gift voucher.
Group Bookings are welcomed, and the person making the booking for a group will be responsible for ensuring all those attending is made aware of and comply with the Terms & Conditions of the Shandon Spa.
SPA ENVIRONMENT
Please note that the Thermal Suite is an adult only environment and is only open to persons aged 18 and over. Young persons between the ages of 16 and 18 can avail of treatments provided they are to be accompanied by an adult.

To ensure all guests experience the sanctuary of the Spa, we respectfully request that all visitors keep noise to a minimum. Use of mobile phones and electronic devices is strictly prohibited. Smoking, the use of E-Cigarettes & the use of drugs in the Spa is strictly prohibited. Alcohol may be consumed in the Thermal Suite, but only from plastic glasses. Only Beverages purchased at the shandon spa can be consumed on the premises. We reserve the right to refuse entrance to the Spa to any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We reserve the right to ask any guest or group of guests to leave the Spa if they are disturbing other guests.
COMPLAINTS POLICY: Any issues in relation to your treatment and or thermal experience must be raised at the time or prior to your departure from the spa that very day. Management of the Shandon Hotel & Spa does not condone any abusive behaviour from any individual or group of individuals towards their staff members. All brochure content is correct at time of print. Management reserves the right to amend any aspect of the content at any time without prior notice.
MANAGEMENT reserves the right to close any area of the Spa, inclusive of the Thermal Suite, without prior notice for essential maintenance.

SHOULD I RESERVE MY TREATMENTS?
We strongly recommend that you book your treatment times well in advance to avoid disappointment. All treatments are subject to availability. Credit or debit card details are required at time of booking in order to confirm your reservation. Please note that Spa treatment times are subject to change and will be confirmed to you on arrival at the Spa.
WHAT FACILITIES CAN I USE IF I HAVE BOOKED A TREATMENT?
Use of the Thermal Suite is complimentary with spa treatment packages.
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED IN THE SPA?
Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the Thermal Suite.
SPA HEALTH & SAFTEY
Please use robes or towels when lying on heated lounges. The flip flops provided must be always worn in all areas of The Spa at all times. Please make one of the spa attendants or receptionists aware if you have any difficulties or problems with any of the facilities.
CAN I USE MY MOBILE PHONE IN THE SPA?
Our aim is to provide a tranquil environment therefore we politely request that mobile phones are turned off for the duration of your visit.
