The Shandon Spa is a full-service thalassotherapy facility. Our spa staff is dedicated to exceeding your expectations and creating a memorable spa experience. Refreshing herbal teas along with seasonal fruits are offered to our guests. We kindly ask that you are respectful of others’ privacy, speak softly and deactivate any disruptive communication devices, such as mobile phones. Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes) is not permitted in or around the Spa building.
WHAT TO WEAR
We will provide you with a robe and slippers to wear while visiting our Spa and you will be assigned a locker to store your personal belongings. Jewellery should not be worn during your Spa experience. Our therapists will provide you with disposable undergarments if needed. Our therapists are professionally trained and will ensure a level of comfort by appropriately draping areas of the body that are not a focus of the treatment. We require that swimming attire be worn in the thermal suite area.
Although all lockers will have a key, we do recommend that you leave your valuables at home. The management cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items.
SPECIAL HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS
If you have health concerns or are pregnant, please be sure to notify our Spa staff when booking your treatment. Prior to each treatment, guests are required to complete a consultation form. We have specifically designed treatments for expectant mothers who are in their 2nd or 3rd trimester. Use of the thermal suite is not suitable at any stage during pregnancy.
LATE ARRIVAL TIME
We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time; however, if a late arrival is unavoidable, please call to notify the Spa receptionist when possible. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, as we must complete your service by the designated end-time in order to appropriately accommodate the next guest.
Whether it is the room temperature or the level of massage pressure, please communicate your preferences with the therapist so that he or she can make your time with us a special experience.
CANCELLING A SPA RESERVATION
We request that all guests using the spa extend a 48 hour cancellation notice. As a therapist has been allocated to perform your treatment, a 50% service fee will be charged on any packages not cancelled 48hours in advance by email.
The Thermal Suite Spa Experience is only available to persons aged 18 years and upwards. During Little Angels Manicures and Pedicures, children must be supervised by an adult. A parent will be required to sign a parental consent form prior to the beginning of the treatment.

SHOULD I RESERVE MY TREATMENTS?
We strongly recommend that you book your treatment times well in advance to avoid disappointment. All treatments are subject to availability. Credit or debit card details are required at time of booking in order to confirm your reservation. Please note that Spa treatment times are subject to change and will be confirmed to you on arrival at the Spa.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
We kindly request that you arrive 20 minutes prior to your first treatment. This will allow time for us to complete a consultation with you.
WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Regrettably, late arrival for your appointment will constitute a reduced treatment time. All times quoted include treatment, preparation and consultation.
All treatments are subject to availability. To avoid disappointment please make your booking as far in advance as possible. We require 48 hour notice of cancellation for treatments, thereafter a 50% charge will be incurred.
WHAT IF I HAVE SPECIAL HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS?
Please inform us of any health related conditions prior to your arrival at the Spa. If you are unsure about whether a medical condition could prevent you from having a treatment, or you are currently taking prescribed medication, have an allergy or are pregnant, please call in advance to discuss suitable treatment options. Treatments are conducted subject to completion of a satisfactory health consultation form. Pregnant guests’ treatments will be tailored to suit. We do not offer treatments for expectant mothers in their 1st trimester. The Thermal Suite is not suitable for use at any stage during pregnancy.
WHAT DO I WEAR DURING MY TREATMENT?
For your comfort, towels, robes and slippers will be provided. You may wish to wear your own underwear, or we can provide you with hygienic disposable briefs. Our therapists will always use draping techniques to respect your privacy. Please bring your own bathing suit to wear in the Thermal Suite.
WHAT FACILITIES CAN I USE IF I HAVE BOOKED A TREATMENT?
Use of the Thermal Suite is complimentary with spends of over €120 per person. There is a charge for use of the Thermal Suite facilities of €35 per person for 1 hours.
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED IN THE SPA?
Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the Thermal Suite.
CAN I USE MY MOBILE PHONE IN THE SPA?
Our aim is to provide a tranquil environment therefore we politely request that mobile phones are turned off for the duration of your visit.
