Carolynne spoke briefly as she accepted the award at the glamorous ceremony and she said, ‘We are absolutely delighted, all credit goes to the fantastic team at the Shandon Hotel & Spa and of course our owner & Managing Director Warren McCarthy who has supported us every step of the way and invested heavily in securing 140 jobs on the coast of Donegal through all seasons.  The Shandon was a hotel in its previous life that closed down for the winter, the key to our success is opening through all seasons and ensuring our occupancy remains high right through, none of which would be possible without the sheer commitment of our fantastic team’.
